2011 Ford Edge

In its first major freshening since its introduction, the 2011 Ford Edge boasts a new bolder face that borrows a page from the company’s successful F-150 pickup. There are plenty of changes behind that grille including a new turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as well as a choice of normally aspirated V-6s.

In addition to revamping the exterior, the cabin has been updated to include more sound insulation, richer materials and enhanced connectivity through the MyFord Touch system that uses a programmable touch screen to replace traditional controls.

Toyota Avalon

Fighting the image of being a bland sedan, the 2011 Toyota Avalon has been redesigned to incorporate crisper character lines, a bolder grille and upscale touches such as projector-beam headlamps. The Avalon also sports more chrome trim, redesigned rocker panels and a new 17-in. wheel design.

Inside, the cabin features richer materials, standard perforated leather seating, an upgraded satellite navigation system, rear backup monitor with the screen integrated into the rearview mirror and a new rear power sunshade.

Is This the 2011 Porsche Cayenne?

We’re not supposed to see the next Porsche Cayenne for another couple weeks, but thanks to an accidental Web update, we’re able to see the revised SUV ahead of its debut.
Porsche plans on unveiling the second-generation Cayenne until its official debut at the 2010 Geneva motor show, but the eagle-eyed folks at TopSpeed caught it hiding in plain sight on Porsche’s official Web page. Porsche, of course, has already taken it down and replaced the photo with one showing the current model, but not before screen shots were captured.

Citroën Unveiling Limited Edition DS3 Racing at the Geneva Motor Show

Citroën has been a competitor in the World Rally Championship for many years and has celebrated numerous victories including five manufacturer’s titles and six driver’s titles. Now Citroën Racing, the company behind all those winning rally cars, has built a car for the street, the Citroën DS3 Racing.
As the Citroën DS3 Racing is being built by the same people that build the Citroën WRC cars, most of the DS3 has been modified for higher performance. Citroën Racing starts with the engine where the engineers “modified and optimized” the powertrain components. Qhat parts have been modified and optimized, however, have not been disclosed. Citroën Racing also remapped the ECU, tuned the turbocharger, and installed a new exhaust. These modifications boost power output of the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder from 156 hp to 200 and from 177 lb-ft of torque to 203 lb-ft of torque.

Honda Working on Large Hybrid, May Launch in Three years

Honda’s desire to develop a hybrid system for its larger automobiles isn’t anything new, but the automaker has just entered the development phase -- meaning the final product could be approximately three years away.
“We’ve left the research stage and entered the field of development,” Tomohiko Kawanabe, COO of automotive research and development, told Reuters in an interview.

BMW Performance to Offer Range of X6 Equipment

BMW's X6M may be quite the performance machine, but given its $89,875 base price, it isn't within everyone's reach. That doesn't mean you can't have a quick X6, mind you. At the 2010 Geneva motor show, BMW Performance will showcase a new line of accessories, some designed to give the "sports activity vehicle" a little extra boost.
