JAKARTA, AUTOMOTIVE - Hyundai Motor Company plans to launch its next generation Santa Fe at the Frankfurt Motor Show,September 2011. Marketing globally reportedly followed early next year. Then, when the product is to enter Indonesia?
Kompas.com try asking the directors of PT Hyundai MobilIndonesia (HMI) on the sidelines of an iftar with reporters in Pondok Indah, recently. Erwin Djajadiputra, HMI Director of Sales and Marketing, said the introduction of Santa Feperformed in Frankfurt.
"From our experience, it usually takes time lag of three to sixmonths before they go to Indonesia. Because the initial productsare produced with the steering wheel left," said Erwin. By this calculation, he added, the possibility of a new Santa Fe toIndonesia in late second quarter or early third quarter.
From the leaked photo "colongan" circulating on the Internet,Santa Fe last changed quite significantly, especially on theexterior. It looks like on the rear side glass is smaller, alsodesign grille and headlights. While in the rear, a separate dualexhaust tip, on this new model blends.
Display the new Santa Fe is touted similar to crossover BMWX1.
