Stuttgart, Automotive- Mercedes-Benz SLS has shownpictures of new models with AMG Roadster soft-top roof model.6.2-liter V8 Supercar engine with 563 HP power will be exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September.
The biggest change appears on the door that no longer scissor(gullwing) because the roof supports the concept that can be folded (open-close) in 11 seconds. The car did not have to stopwhen the roof opened and closed. The process can take placewhen the car in the speed of 48 km per hour.
According to Mercedes, construction chassis is very light because of using aluminum. This has been a consideration since the earlydevelopment of the car. Hence, its sides reinforced to improve thesolidity and strength.
Meanwhile, the body weight of 2 kg heavier than the 241 kg kupemodel. Excess weight is a donation of two structural reinforcement(reinforcement). On the other hand, the cross-strut member added.So also between the soft-top and tank of fuel.
This supercar will enter showrooms in the fall.
